Grizzly Bear

Today's band come from Brooklyn and they're called Grizzly Bear. They've been out since 2004 with a first album called "Horn of Plenty". "Yellow House" came out in 2006 and here we are with Veckatimest this year. This album is one of the best I've heard this year. I love the melodies very melancholic at times. There are 2 singers in this band and they both have amazing voices.

Here's vid of them live:

Another vid and this one is from Black Cab sessions-Acoustic version of my fav song in the album:

Caspian

Caspian was formed in 2003 in Beverly Massachusetts. They are a postrock instrumental band and I can tell you they don't need words- the music is so intense!! They give me the chills.

Discography :

2007 - The Four Trees
2009 - Tertia

This vid speaks for itself, the song is "some are white light" and it was performed live at "Le Divan Orange" Montreal. Mind blowing performance..

The Temper Trap

I just discovered this amazing band from Keli's blog. They are are damn good. Their debut album is called "conditions" it has been out this year. Check out this song, it's called "Sweet Dispositions".

MUSE

Muse-one of my favourite bands. Muse are an English trio hailing from the sleepy town of Teignmouth in Devon. The band consists of Matthew Bellamy (lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and pianist),Chris Wolstenholme (bass guitarist) and Dominic Howard (drummer).

I first saw them on a TV show called MCM cafe in 1999, I was mesmerized by the music. It was like nothing else I've ever heard before.
I was the happiest boy in the world when I got the CD, which I had to order from England as it was nowhere to be found in my country. I listened to it maybe 30 times in a row. My obsession with this band had begun and I made every single person I met listen to it but unfortunately they were not as enthusiast as me as they'd prefer the radio-friendly bands or the "demoniac" Marilyn Manson..LOL I could plug a moulinex with my amp, mix some meat and record an album..they'd have found it great.

Here's a vid of the first single..enjoy!!

It's been 11 years now and the discography has grown a bit:

- First EPs and Showbiz (1998)
- Origin of Symmetry (2001)
- Hullabaloo (2002)
- Absolution (2003)
- Black Holes and Revelations (2006)
- The Resistance (2009)

One of the most amazing things with this band is their live performances-here's a vid of a song from the 2nd album called Micro Cuts and this is a live performance @ Wembley Stadium which does not feature on the HAARP DVD
